If animal ate something poisonous
1.  Call veterinarian immediately.  Tell what the animal ate and when. Vomiting may need to be induced immediately.
2.  May need to call the National Animal Poison Control Center at 1-888-426-4435. Consultation fee applies.
3.  Get medical attention as soon as possible.  Bring the poisonous substance container with you.  The veterinarian will need to know exactly what the animal ate and how much and when.
4.  Do not wait to bring animal to the veterinarian even if they don't act ill. Vomiting, diarrhea, convulsions, weakness, collapse, difficulty breathing, excessive drooling, whimpering, blood in vomit/ diarrhea/ 
urine, and cyanosis (lilac to purple gum discoloration) implying poor oxygenation can occur. Some poisonings do not show up for 2-3 days and can be fatal. Early treatment is very important.
